Swarm allows you to host immersive live video experiences, these can be created instantly or scheduled. You are able to set up a live room or live stream. To set up a new live event, go to the Events button in your Space, or alternatively the Go Live button at the bottom of your space.

- Select what event type you would like to create:
- Live Room – This is a live call between two or more people, all parties can engage. You can set up breakout rooms in a live room if required.
- Live Stream – This is a webinar-style event, there will be a speaker and everyone will be muted and watching the event. They can participate in the chat but can’t come on video.
- In Person – If you have setup an in-person event, you are still able to add it to your events calendar. Set up the event and add a link, for example a Google Map location.
- Create a title and description.
- Select who can attend your event, for example all space members, members with specific roles, members of a specific private group or only specific members. See this article for more information of live events with specific members.
- Select whether you would like to open your event to guests, these are non members. This is useful for live streams.
Details

- Location
- Choose whether you would like to go live natively using Swarm or in an external platform (there will still be a link and reminders for your members).
- Choose between going live right away or scheduling for the future.
- Date & Time
- Add the date and time of the event.
- Add an event duration – Duration allowance depend on your Swarm plan.
- Repeats
- If you would like to have recurring events, select how often you would like them to repeat.
- Select which day and when you would like to repeats to cease.
- Add a maximum number of participants
- Number of attendees depend on your Swarm plan.
- Attendee arrival
- Select whether you would like attendees to be held in a waiting room or green room or be admitted automatically to the event.
Recording

- Decide whether you would like to record and automatically publish your recording to a specific Space and Hub. The recording will begin automatically as soon as the you join and will be published immediately after the event ends.
- Select whether you would like to email the recordings to all members who registered for the event.
- Select whether you would like to show the recording on the events calendar.
- Select the recording quality you would like to use: SD or HD.
Design

- Specify if you’d like the attendee list to be visible to all invitees or just admins.
- Add a cover image to your event.
- Select whether you’d like to display the event details on the cover image.
Notifications

- Select whether you would like to notify members about your live event, if you select Yes then type a message to send to members. Space members will then receive a notification with the calendar invite attached and also be notified as soon as you're live.
- Your event details will appear at the top of your Space sidebar for other members to join.

Once an event is scheduled, you can still edit the event by going to the event name (e.g. Swarm Demo as above) and Edit Event. Multiple events can be scheduled and under the events you will see carousel dots that allow you to see all the events.
