Swarm allows you to host immersive live video experiences, these can be created instantly or scheduled.
To set up a new live event, go to the Create a live event button in your Space.
- At the bottom select Create a new event.
- Give your live event a title and description.
- Select who can attend your event, for example all Space members, members with specific roles, members of a specific private group or only specific members. See this article for more information of live events with specific members.
- Date & Time
- Choose between going live right away or scheduling for the future.
- Add an event duration – Duration allowance depend on your Swarm plan.
- Meeting Room
- Choose whether you would like to go live in Swarm or in an external platform (there will still be a link and reminders for your members).
- Add a maximum number of attendees – Number of attendees depend on your Swarm plan.
- Recording
- Decide whether you would like to record and automatically publish your recording to a specific Space and Hub. The recording will begin automatically as soon as the you join and will be published immediately after the event ends.
- Design
- Add a cover image to your event
- Notifications
- Select whether you would like to notify members about your live event, if you select Yes then type a message to send to members. Space members will then receive a notification with the calendar invite attached and also be notified as soon as you're live.
- Your event details will appear at the top of your Space sidebar for other members to join.
Once an event is scheduled, you can still edit the event by going to the event name (e.g. Swarm Demo as above) and Edit Event. Multiple events can be scheduled and under the events you will see carousel dots that allow you to see all the events.
