Allowing members to bypass the paywall

Once your price has been set, you might want to share a link for customers to purchase directly. To do this go to Create invite link, you can allow members to bypass the usual checkout process and create a single or multi-use invite link. These links direct customers to the paywall or skip the paywall completely.

Content

Select where the product you’ve set up will be available. So for example the Space where the restricted content is available. There will be a paywall when a customer tries to access the restricted content.

Notion image

Controlling actions based on membership tiers

You can also control the actions members can take based on their membership tier. By expanding the nodes on the tree, you can go deeper into the available content in your Space. For example, you might only want members to be able to view content in a specific Hub so therefore select the Space, Section, Hub and then choose which actions can be taken in that Hub.

Managing access to content

You might also want to give a paying member access to specific content for example live events and courses. You could then select these options and when the payment is processed these areas will become available.

Select a landing page after purchase

Choose where you would like the member to land once they have made the purchase. Select the preferred landing page from the list of options.

  • Auto (default) – Let Swarm decide. The system will automatically send the member to the most relevant content based on what the product includes whether that's a course, a community space, or a live event.
  • Course Gallery – Take members straight to the course library, so they can browse and start learning immediately.
  • Events Calendar – Drop members into the events or live sessions calendar. This is great if your community is built around scheduled calls or live content.
  • Start Here – Send members to the main community home page. Ideal if you have a pinned "Start Here" post or onboarding content waiting for them.
  • Private DM with Me – Automatically open a private direct message conversation between the new member and you. Perfect for high-touch products where a personal welcome message goes a long way.
  • Custom URL – Redirect members to any URL you choose, for example your own welcome page, a Notion doc, an onboarding video, or anything else. Just paste the full link (e.g., https://yoursite.com/welcome).

Tip: If you're not sure which to pick, start with Auto. Once you know how members are using your product, you can refine this to match their natural first step.

Once all your preferences are selected, Create product.

Emails

Toggle whether you’d like to email the customer once they purchase the course.

Notion image

Add a subject, email body, and BCC email addresses into the email for multiple customers.

You will now be able to see your Membership offering in your store.

Once your product has been added to your store, you can set it to draft, edit it, reorder your offerings and delete products.
