Swarm allows you to interact privately with a single member using direct messaging but also create a small group of members to interact with privately.
When should I use a Private Group?
There are many use cases for Private Groups, but here are just a few:
- Private group chats for more intimate discussions
- Group coaching/consulting
- Teams/departments
- Specific topic/project discussions
- Collecting content from a specific group of people
- Exclusive content/AMAs
- Staging content in a private area until it's ready to be made public in a Campfire
To add members to a private group, go to Private Groups and click on the icon or Create a Private Group.
You can then select the partipants (members) you’d like to add to the group. Give the group a name and choose whether you would like the Card or Feed layout. You can add a duration for the videos and audio if required.
When you are ready click on Start the Conversation to begin.
Converting a Private Group Into a Hub

To do this, go to the Conversation settings (top right corner). Add in the participants, Hub name, description, select a Hub layout, add a maximum duration for the videos/videos and Promote this Private Group to a Hub.
