Creating a Course in Swarm
How to Add or Edit Your Course Settings
When you create a course, you can add information into your Course Settings. You can always go back into your Course Settings by going to Actions or in the course gallery.
You will then see the following tabs:
General
- Give your course a name and description.
- Keep your course in draft or publish it.
Course type
- Select your course type – See information on course types.
- Toggle whether you want to enforce the lesson order.
Design
- Choose a course cover image and gallery thumbnail by uploading an image or using Unsplash.
- Add a gallery tag.
- Add a course CTA label or leave blank.
Instructor
- Toggle whether you would like to show the instructor’s details.
- If so add their name, photo and information.
Completion
- Add completion message and add a redirect URL and button label after completion.
- Select a hub for students to share their course completion.
Certificate
- Create a certificate to be issued after completion, add your logo and select background and border colors.
- Toggle whether you would like to assign a badge and award points on completion.
Reviews
- Toggle if you would like to request that students leave a review on completion of the course.
- Add your review question or keep as default.
- Toggle if you would like to display reviews on the about page for the course.
- Select a review layout.

Emails
- Write up your email and add the subject and body. This email will be sent to students when they enroll on the course.
