What Are the Different Hub Layouts?

When you set up a Hub you can choose whether you would like a Video Hub, Post Hub or Chat Hub. You can have a different layout per Hub if you like. To change the settings per Hub, go to to the settings icon in the top right corner. If you would like one layout for the entire Space, you can set this up in your Space Settings.

Video Hub - Ideal for smaller, video-centric communities

This layout displays posts horizontally. Each square is an individual post and replies can be seen on the right, see screenshot below. Pinned posts will be on the right and will be visible whenever that Hub is entered into.

Each post can be replied to and replies can be viewed by selecting Replies on the right. Here you will see threaded replies that can be posted using text, video or voice. Below you will see a text reply as well as a video reply with the transcription below.

Post Hub - Ideal for larger group discussions

This vertical layout allows you to view your posts as a feed.

There are two options – Feed Layout or Card Layout.

Feed Layout

This displays your posts vertically and each post will be underneath the previous one. You can pin the most important one to the top and select the order you would like the posts to be viewed in. To view replies, select replies where you will be able to view the replies underneath the main post.

Card Layout

This layout displays your posts as tiles and posts will be alongside each other. This is a great way to showcase resources. To view replies, select the post and see the replies underneath.

Chat Layout - Ideal for quick chats

This layout is the default for Private Groups and Direct Messages but can also be used in a Hub. Like the Video Layout, replies are threaded. To reply or view a reply, select Reply and you will see the replies on the right. Replies can be text, video or voice replies.
